My ‘ex’ and I were only together for a period of 4 months or so, however we have known each other very well for years, and even had a brief relationship approx 8 years ago.

When the first relationship ended, she met someone, and was with him for about 7 years.

Recently, we got into another relationship, and again, it felt magical. It hasn’t officially ended but she is going through the ‘time to think’ phase. She reached out to me 2 weeks after she first got cold feet, we met up, she told me she couldn’t be without me, and everything was fine. A week later, she got cold feet again, and told me she needed space to work out what she wanted in life. This was approx 6 weeks ago. I have respected that, other than by sending her a gift and a postcard from abroad, which initiated contact from her again. I have naturally responded and have suggested we meet up for a walk which she is agreeable too. She cancelled the first time and I’m just hanging on in there to text her to suggest another date. I’m trying to keep the texts light and not too serious at all. Wish me luck
